Unusual, but nondescript, wild berries found on the grounds of the former Downer Ranch in Dixon, California. Mitch Hort and Mary-Lynn Turner turned a batch of them from a few different bushes into a jam. The jam carries with it the tinge of the subduction zone upon which the bushes grew wild since the end of the Pruist cult in the 1920s.
Upon eating a tablespoon-sized portion of this jam, the individual who consumes it will receive the benefit of Subduction Sight 5 (Pyramid 3/69, p. 34) for 2d minutes (the skill roll will be at the user’s Perception rating). The drawback of eating this History B-tainted jam is that if the individual actually does look into a subduction zone with this ability, they will develop a temporary 10-point Delusion having to do with what History B looks like beyond the veil between histories. This Delusion lasts for 1d hours, but the user can make an optional roll vs. Will at the end of the first half-hour to end the Delusion effect before end of 1d hours. A failure on this roll means the maximum of 6 hours for the Delusion; a critical failure on this roll makes Delusion permanent. The nature of the Delusion can provide clues as to the nature of the subduction zone to those who shake off its effects …
