Dixon

The town of Dixon, California — population about 4,300 — is an agricultural community located in Solano County, west of Sonoma and north of San Francisco. It has a post office, a small historical society, and is surrounded on all sides by vast stretches of farmland. A couple miles from the town center is the the abandoned Downer Ranch, formerly home to Beale Downer and his cult, known as the Pruists. Bernadette Fry and her “Boys” also lived in Dixon, in an old Victorian that’s had quite a bit of work done on it.
