“Queen Minerve”
A kulullû that manifested during the subduction event at the St. Francis Hotel. Roger discovered it clinging the back of a middle aged woman named Madge Carson who came to Westercon dressed as Queen Minerve (or Minerva) of Deneb-4, a character from one of Andrew Krane’s early sci-fi works. The kulullû stung Roger with one of its projectile tail-barbs laced with a psychotropic nerve agent, which shunted Roger into unconsciousness but opened the door for the emergence of a new loa — Agent 00 — who promptly dispatched the creature with his service weapon and a quip (“Well, so much for the hangers-on.”). Madge survived her ordeal with only a few strange half-memories.
